Which controller fits my kit?

Match by power: 40A for 500–1000W kits, 45–50A for 2000W, 60A for 3000–4000W. EZ Rider and Mid-Drive kits use their own built-in systems — these controllers do not fit them.

Does the app work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, both — connection is Bluetooth, and the complete manual is linked on this page as a PDF.

Can it make my kit road-legal?

Yes. Hold the display’s UP button for 2–3 seconds to cap output at 250W / 25 km/h — the UK legal limit. Hold again to restore full power on private land. Three limit levels plus unlimited are available.

What does “fully potted” mean?

The circuit board is encased in thermal resin: waterproof, heat-spreading, vibration-proof. Bagged controllers trap their own heat and fail — potted ones don’t.

Will it work with a motor you didn’t make?

Usually, yes — the self-learning function auto-matches most brushless hub motors regardless of brand. That is exactly what it was designed for.

What is Accelerate Strength?

The throttle-response tuning parameter — how hard the motor answers your wrist. Enthusiasts set it sharp; commuters set it smooth. It is the setting riders play with most.

Does regen braking really work?
