Very quick delivery of both kit and battery, so I was pleased with that. I have used it on my Giant Talon MBK, and have been able to do some good rides up steep, moderately rough tracks to gain access to mountains, which was my main requirement.

The control unit isn't accurate on battery power. It showed the battery as 4/5ths charged, yet it died rapidly and all of a sudden. I had scrolled to check the voltage and percentage, and it said 40%, yet it lasted no time at all after that. I will need to charge it before each ride to trust it
The yellow battery connector to the motor is way too short, (and the one on the battery very long), so that means it resides under the motor, and is therefore subject to all manner of water and crud, which has to cleaned off before you can unplug or plug back in. Had it been longer, it could have been strapped to the upper part of the downtube, out of harm's way. This I think is a major requirement for change.
There is a gear change sensor which is not mentioned anywhere, so I had to find out off the tech dept., (who did respond very quickly it must be said). I have sourced a heat-shrink/glue cap for that and the brake sensors too, to prevent moisture ingress
Overall I am happy, but a few issues would have made it 100%
Great kit good service from the guys at kirbebike as always.
Slower than before and cuts out at 80kmh and have to turn on and off again my old one did 97kmh and never cut out

Dus de 2000 watt kit besteld zeer goed geholpen via de medewerkers van de site dat er wel de juiste besteld werdt,zeer nuttige info gehad.
Binnen een week was het wiel +verlichtings set binnen,batterij wordt appart verstuurt dat duurde uiteindelijk 3,5 week,waarschijn omdat het naar Nederland toe komt.
De set is zeer degelijk en er zit prima uitleg bij voor instalatie,zou het iedereen aan kunnen raden die zelf iets wil bouwen.

The kit shipped quickly and customer service was great about answering my questions beforehand. The Kirbebike 72v battery was easy to secure to the downtube of the Ridstar, looks factory and is very solid and secure however it is not easily removed so don't plan on battery swaps. I was able to modify the Ridstar torque arms to accept the larger rear hub motor on both sides of the rear axle so we did not use the included torque arm. The controller fit where the plastic box on the Ridstar was and sits nicely in that space. All wiring was easily concealed and no problems with the connecters. The bluetooth dongle and app connects quickly and is easily updated. The display is clear and nicely laid out. Honestly this is a great kit to update a Ridstar Q20 into beast mode. The torque is fantastic and I am able to dial down the top speed through the app. The bike is super fast off the line. We ordered the "Surron" type throttle from Kirbebike but ended up re-using the "Surron" throttle my kid already had as it fit his bars better. The Kirbebike throttle was big for the bars on the bike and would not tighten properly. We did have to change the wiring order on the old throttle to match the new controller even though the connections were the same. Also be aware that there is a tarrif charge if shipping Kirbebikes throttle to the US. I still have to sort a tail light and brake light so I will be reaching back out to Kirbebikes great customer service to get that figured out. I highly recommened this kit.
Not clear that some controllers come with different and not enuff cables.
I found this Tongshen middrive easy to fit and install and works really well in use.I would have liked the display slightly brighter,as it has to be positioned carefully to be able to see it clearly and in the settings it's on maximum. For a newby,better instructions are required as they are sparse at best. Really impressed with it's operation in use,bafang needs to up it's game. Would buy another.

Poor, customer service also dire, the battery wasn’t compatible woth my kit so i asked to return it, more than happy paying postage and all that however because i had plugged it in to find out it didnt work they have stung me for £80 as a partial refund because its been “used” they are a con there are plenty of other ebike sellers out there. use them instead of these people
Thank you for your feedback. To clarify: the battery had been used for about a week. In your own earlier message you confirmed your Bafang BBS01B had been "hacked" (no longer a 15A controller), and that the battery was cutting out on the BSM while riding — which shows it was used and could not be resold as new. We offered a partial refund rather than refusing the return, which we feel is fair.

So it came a week after I ordered it and all went fine with the assembly but when I started riding the bike there was a noise coming from the rear wheel so went to my local bike shop and they said a lot off the spokes were lose, got them tightened and all is good now.

It is genuinely so awesome and so fast. Difficult to install and could do with some more accessories to help with it and it could have better range but other than that it’s perfect!
